Are fancy yellow lab grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab grown yellow diamonds are 100% real diamonds — same crystal structure, same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), same optical brilliance as mined diamonds. This centre stone is a Fancy Vivid Yellow, VS1 clarity, IGI certified.

Why are the prongs a different colour from the band?

The band is 14K white gold and the prongs holding the centre are 14K yellow gold. Warm yellow-gold prongs sit against a yellow diamond and deepen its colour, while the white-gold shank keeps the rest of the ring bright and neutral — a deliberate two-tone choice.

What is the pavé split shank?

The band splits as it approaches the centre and is set with 0.82 ct of small round white diamonds (pavé). It adds sparkle and lifts the centre stone without competing with its colour.
