Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Mohan Jewels LLC ("Mohana Jewels," "we," "us," or "our") processes, packages, and ships orders placed through www.mohanajewels.com.
1. Made to Order
Every Mohana Jewels piece is made to order. We do not maintain a finished-goods inventory. When you place an order, your piece is crafted specifically for you in our workshop.
2. Processing and Delivery Timeframe
Total time from order confirmation to delivery is approximately 2 to 3 weeks. This includes:
- Production of your piece (the majority of the timeframe)
- Quality inspection and final polish
- Secure packaging
- Insured shipping to your delivery address
Bespoke commissions and complex custom designs may take longer. If your order requires more than 3 weeks, we will communicate the timeline at the time of order.
3. Shipping Method and Insurance
All orders ship fully insured for the full purchase value. Shipments require an adult signature upon delivery for security.
We do not ship to P.O. boxes, freight forwarders, or unattended addresses.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your destination, the value of your order, and any active promotions. Any applicable taxes will also be calculated at checkout.
5. Order Confirmation and Tracking
After you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. Once your piece ships, you will receive a separate email containing tracking information.
Please keep an eye on your tracking link as the delivery date approaches, since shipments require an adult signature.
6. Domestic Shipping (United States)
We ship to all 50 U.S. states. Standard total time from order to delivery is approximately 2 to 3 weeks, including production and shipping.
7. International Shipping
We ship internationally to most countries. Total time from order to delivery is approximately 2 to 3 weeks, including production and shipping. Customs clearance in your country may add additional time outside our control.
Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and other fees imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient. These charges are collected by the carrier or local customs authority at delivery and are not included in the price of your order or your shipping cost.
If you refuse delivery or fail to pay applicable customs charges, your order will be returned to us. Once received, we will refund the purchase price less original shipping costs and any return shipping or customs fees we are charged.
8. Risk of Loss
Risk of loss and title for products pass to you when the carrier delivers the package to the address you provided. Because all shipments are insured, lost or damaged shipments in transit are covered. See Section 9.
9. Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your piece does not arrive, arrives damaged, or shows signs of tampering:
- Do not open or accept a damaged package if you can refuse it at delivery
- If you have already received it, take photos of the packaging and the piece immediately
- Contact us within 48 hours at support@mohanajewels.com with your order number and photos
We will file an insurance claim and arrange a replacement or full refund. Please report any issue within 48 hours of delivery so we can act quickly.
10. Incorrect Address or Failed Delivery
Please double-check the shipping address you provide at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an address you entered incorrectly.
If a delivery is attempted but fails (no one available to sign, address inaccessible, etc.), the carrier will typically attempt redelivery or hold the package for pickup. If the package is returned to us undelivered, we will contact you to arrange reshipment, and you will be responsible for the additional shipping cost.
11. Changes to Your Shipping Address
If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, email support@mohanajewels.com as soon as possible. We can usually update the address before the piece ships, but we cannot guarantee changes once a shipping label has been generated.
12. Holiday and Peak Periods
During peak periods (engagement season, holidays), production and carrier transit times may be longer than normal. We will note any expected delays on the Site or at checkout.
13. Order Cancellation Due to Shipping Issues
Cancellation due to shipping delays is governed by our Return and Refund Policy. Because every piece is made to order, cancellation timing depends on production status, not shipping status.
